When preparing teaching materials, you may include the CityUHK logo so that readers notice the contents are created at CityUHK. You may also add a copyright statement to your work to remind students that they should not reproduce, publish, distribute or exploit your teaching materials without your permission. Moreover, you need to list any third-party content with titles and authors' names under References / Sources.
To control the editability of digital teaching materials, you are advised to convert documents such as Microsoft Office files to PDF files with watermarks. Then, distribute the non-editable PDF files to students.
Be aware that the fair dealing exception allows you to use copyrighted works on Canvas with certain limitations. For example, ensure the material is kept online for 12 months or less. Visit our Handling Copyright Works on Canvas webpage for more details.
