CityU organises numerous cultural activities to encourage cross-cultural integration and enrich students’ campus life. Apart from participating in hall life to build friendships with the peers, students can seize the opportunities to appreciate cultural diversity in events like festival celebrations and Chinese cultural workshops; develop interests in sports, arts and various areas through activities like CityU Yoga Day and CityU Arts Festival; and eventually achieve all-round development.

CityU organises festival celebrations to enable residents, especially overseas students to learn more about the Chinese culture and enjoy a festive yet homelike time. Every year, students from different cultures and Halls celebrate Chinese New Year and Mid-Autumn Festival by setting up their booths to showcase delicate craftwork, delicious cuisines and interesting games. Incredible live performances including lion dances, dancing, singing and band performances are featured to enhance the festive atmosphere.

Though Ving Tsun is a traditional form of Chinese martial art, Master Yeung adopted a modern approach and clearly explained and displayed the essence of Ving Tsun to the class.

The instructor, Mr Shiu Sai-kit is experienced in teaching Go. Under his in-depth explanations, participating students learnt, practised and enjoyed the fun of Go during the workshop.

Music Theatre “All Roads Lead to Rome”
