Highlights of Foundation Activities

A big part of CityU’s global engagement efforts to enrich students’ educational
experience and prepare them for leadership and success in the increasingly global
environment involves providing the opportunity for as many undergraduate
students as possible to participate in overseas exchanges. Private donations
enable us to achieve our goals. In 2016 -17, CityU allocated an extra $40 million

to enable 2,687 students to participate in a variety of global learning activities.
With the support of our donors, we will continue to strengthen our overseas
exchange and internship programmes and extend and deepen our international
partnerships to create an increasingly multicultural environment for learning,
teaching and research.

During the year, the Foundation was involved in a number of activities
related to promoting and advancing business education, entrepreneurship,
social innovation, computational thinking in early education, and elderly care,
among others. The funds raised support student scholarships and meaningful

community projects for both young and old.

城大其中一個發展方向，是致力於為學生提供海外交流學習機會，以便為他們日後

在日趨國際化的大環境中取得卓越成就及擔當領袖角色作好準備。私人捐款有助
我們達成目標。在2016 -17年度，城大額外撥出4,000萬港元，協助2,687名學生參與
City University of Hong Kong Foundation 香港城市大學基金
多項國際性學習活動。在贊助人的支持下，我們將會繼續加強海外交流及實習計劃，
拓展並鞏固國際夥伴關係，為學習、教學和研究提供更多元化的跨文化環境。

年內，城大基金舉辦了一連串活動，範疇包括提升及推進商業教育、創業精神、
社會創新、小學生運算思維及安老照顧服務等等。基金籌得的款項用於設立學生

獎學金及資助多項惠及長幼的社區項目。
