CityUHK

Sustainable development can be defined as

"meeting present needs without compromising the chances of future generations to meet their needs".

In 2015, UN Member States translated their vision of sustainable development into a blueprint for achieving it: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Its 17 Sustainable Development Goals covering the three dimensions of sustainable development: the economy, social development and the environment are a call for action by all countries to promote prosperity while protecting the planet.

Committed to promoting a green and sustainable campus, CityUHK is, at all times, striving towards:

  • TEACHING - integrating sustainability into university education;
  • RESEARCH - exploring sustainability challenges through research; and
  • CAMPUS OPERATIONS - minimising waste and promoting resource conservation.

Our Sustainability Report keeps track of the progress we have made towards fulfilling the UN's 17 SDGs.
