Sports Facilities Booking & Information (SFBI) System
System upgrade of SFBI with CityU Pay is on 26 July 2022, 12 noon
All online booking sessions will be confirmed and paid immediately with CityU Pay.
Emails of booking confirmation from SFBI and payment confirmation from CityU Pay would be sent to the user’s CityU designated email account.
*Note: Once payment is completed, there will be no refund nor cancellation.
Other new features include:
- Log-in page with Single Sign-On (SSO) function and expandable announcements;
- Setting up User’s Profile
(can set up a maximum of 3 preferred facilities and select up to a maximum of 3 days in a week for each facility); - reCaptcha authentication prior to booking confirmation;

The objective of the SFBI System is to provide an easy and smart booking system and providing our users with an excellent booking experience to make online booking of the CityU & Joint Sports Centre sports facilities in advance.
Accessing the SFBI
Please be reminded that you must logon the system with your EID and password on the Single Sign-On (SSO) function after clicking the “Log in” button on the SFBI logon page.
Function on the SFBI Web Booking
- Home (To make new booking): You may reserve one session per day of each sports facility up to 7 days in advance via this function. All bookings should be confirmed and paid immediately via CityU Pay. You should receive an email notification from CityU Pay regarding your payment and also a confirmation email from SFBI System about your paid session. Users receiving a confirmation email from the SFBI System on the paid booking sessions would be recognized as the ONLY confirmed booking of that session.

You may view a detailed summary of all your bookings via this function with filters. - Profile:
You may set up 3 most preferred facilities for a maximum of 3 days within the week to be displayed on the Home page for quick access and booking upon login.
Eligible User
All CityU staff and students are eligible to make online booking.
Time of Service
The web booking function would be available every day from 08:00-23:59 except Wednesday from 08:00-22:59 and closed on public holidays.
Booking Confirmation with Online Payment
Users are recommended to have your visa card, Fast Payment System (FPS), Alipay (HK and Mainland China Wallet) or WeChat Pay ready in hand before you start your booking.
All bookings are considered to be confirmed once you received the booking confirmation from SFBI. All bookings are now directly paid online via the CityU Pay.

Each payment process (once invoked the “Pay” button) must be completed within a 15-min timeframe. If the payment process exceeded the timeframe, the SFBI System will automatically consider the session unsuccessful and release that booking session after.
For unsuccessful or delayed payments due to technical issues, users should email to sope@cityu.edu.hk and attach the concerned payment documents for inquiry and follow-up or call our office directly at 3442 8025 during office hours.
Check-in
Users are reminded to bring their CityU ID card and show it to our staff for verification and check-in on or before your booked session. Any booked sessions not checked-in by the user would be released for booking by walk-in users after the 15th minute of each hour.
