In 2023-25, the Sports Ambassadors Programme (SAP) is supported by the University Grants Committee (UGC) Whole-person Development Fund (WPDF). SAP delivers “Sports Service Project” (SSP) in the community and CityUHK in-house “Projects of Student-Athletes Development” (PSAD). Through such service-learning experiences, SAP helps university students cultivate leadership with compassion and social empathy through service learning.
Vision
- To cherish and implement the “One Health Concept” and “Overall Well-being” through participating in Sports Service Projects in the community
- To cultivate whole-person development of the Sports Ambassadors
Eligibility
- Full-time undergraduates with sports talents
- Students who are passionate and interested in sports services
Sports Service Projects (SSP)
The Sports Service Projects (SSP) in the community consist of:
- Delivering coaching support to sports teams of Hong Kong primary/secondary schools or special populations who are in need of sports training
- Engaging in community service projects to boost the civil awareness of university students
Projects of Student-Athletes Development (PSAD)
Projects of Student-Athletes Development (PSAD) are in-house service learning projects of CityUHK Sports Teams for whole-person development of the Sports Ambassadors. They will be enrolled in PSAD to enhance leadership skills, teamwork skills and executive ability in event management.

Learning Outcomes

Able to develop essential attributes in sports events management
- Able to reflect on teamwork skills and their implications during SSP
- Develop a sense of social responsibility and civic awareness through participating in different community service projects
