CityUHK has performed remarkably well in science subjects in the 2024 global rankings. Two science subjects, Physical Chemistry and Condensed Matter Physics, break into the Top 10 globally. Many other science subjects also showed significant achievement in rankings.

Professor Xin Wang, Dean of the College of Science (CSCI) at CityUHK, and Professor Clemens Kaminski, Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology, signed a MoU focused on joint research and scholarship collaborations in May 2024.

The Aerosim Inter-school Aviation Tournament (AIAT) 2024 - Glider Launch Challenge, held on 20 April 2024 at the City University of Hong Kong, was a resounding success. This highly-anticipated event gathered nearly 170 secondary school students and teachers from 25 schools across Hong Kong.
The College of Science’s (CSCI) JUPAS Consultation Day was successfully held on May 18, with more than 400 participants attending.
