The Aerosim Inter-school Aviation Tournament (AIAT) 2024 - Glider Launch Challenge, held on 20 April 2024 at the City University of Hong Kong, was a resounding success. This highly-anticipated event gathered nearly 170 secondary school students and teachers from 25 schools across Hong Kong.

The College of Science’s (CSCI) JUPAS Consultation Day was successfully held on May 18, with more than 400 participants attending.

The College of Science (CSCI) hosted The International Mathematical Modeling Challenge (IMMC) 2024 – The 10th Annual International Mathematical Challenge Regional and International Final Presentation Competition of Greater China on 26 and 27 April 2024. The event showcased the academic prowess and innovative ideas of talented secondary school students across the region.

Researchers from City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) again achieved outstanding results at the 49th International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva (IEIG), winning 36 awards altogether. Among them, six teams are from the College of Science. Their success demonstrates the College’s excellence in research and innovation.

Research by CSCI faculty is once again recognised internationally. The research paper entitled “Which Micropollutants in Water Environments Deserve More Attention Globally?” published in Environmental Science & Technology, has been selected by the American Chemical Society as the first joint winner in the category “Critical Review” in the 2022 Environmental Science and Technology Best Paper Awards.

Jointly organised by the College of Engineering and College of Science, Career Fair 2024, held on 30 January 2024, was a big success. Students were provided a chance to meet with a record-breaking 69 employers from different industries. A total of 3,000+ vacancies were solicited for students from the two Colleges.
