City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) will further enhance collaboration with Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), marking a new milestone in the cooperation between the two universities in promoting academic collaboration.

As the Most International University in the World by Times Higher Education in 2024, CityUHK will continue to form partnership with global universities, including actively expanding academic exchanges and research collaborations with institutions in countries of the Belt and Road Initiative, contributing to Hong Kong's role as an international hub for education.

On 9 July, a CityUHK delegation led by Professor Freddy Boey, President of CityUHK, visited UBD and met with Dr Hazri bin Haji Kifle, Vice-Chancellor of UBD and his senior management team.

President Boey engaged in fruitful discussions with Dr Kifie on a wide array of academic collaborations, with the two universities planning to deepen their academic and research efforts in various areas of mutual interest.

The delegation also visited the UBD campus, UBD’s Botanical Research Centre and several laboratory facilities.
