The Tung Biomedical Sciences Centre, established with the generous donation from The Tung Foundation in 2020, is an interdisciplinary research centre at CityU dedicated to the research and development of novel diagnostics and therapeutics for early detection and personalized treatments of cancers, neurodegeneration, and infectious diseases.
As a distinguished research facility dedicated to the progression of biomedical research and development, the Centre serves as a hub for collaboration among faculty with unique expertise in diverse fields such as Biomedical Sciences, Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, Nanotechnology, and Infectious Diseases and Public Health. This fusion of knowledge from multiple disciplines allows our committed teams of researchers and students to amalgamate their intellectual and technical capabilities to investigate the core mechanisms that dictate the onset and progression of diseases, and to transform the knowledge into novel diagnostic and therapeutic technologies for the prediction, prevention, and management of these diseases.
