Authorization for Application/Collection of Academic Document
Applicants may authorize a third party to apply for and/or collect documents including award certificate, academic transcript, letter of certification and testimonial, on their behalf.

Submit Authorization Online Through AIMS
For Current Students
- Login to AIMS with your EID and password
- Select the Student Record menu
- Click My Applications [for Undergraduate and Master's Programmes], then choose Authorization Letter
- Fill in the form according to the instructions and press Confirm
- An email will be sent to your student account to acknowledge receipt of your authorization
For Alumni
- Login to AIMS with your EID and password
- Select the Alumni Services menu
- Click Authorization Letter
- Fill in the form according to the instructions and press Confirm
- An email will be sent to your alumni account to acknowledge receipt of your authorization
Documents Required for Collection
Your authorized representative should present the following upon collection of the document(s):
- HKID Card/passport of your authorized representative
- A photocopy of your CityUHK Student Identity Card/HKID Card/passport with your student number and programme code written on it (This document will be returned to your authorized representative after inspection.)
- The email notification for your authorization
Provide Written Authorization Letter
Your authorized representative should present the following upon collection of the document(s):
- HKID Card/passport of your authorized representative
- An original authorization letter signed by you (letter template is available here) (Photocopy or print out copy of the letter is not accepted.)
- A photocopy of your CityUHK Student Identity Card/HKID Card/passport with your student number and programme code written on it (This document will be returned to your authorized representative after inspection.)
