School of Energy and Environment (SEE), as its name suggests, covers diverse fields including but not limited to engineering, science, economics, statistics and computing. Although I have faced some difficulties in handling some of these topics that are new to me, our SEE professors are always more than willing to provide prompt advice.
SEE is keen in offering out-of-classroom learning. In summer 2018, I took part in a Shenzhen field trip to learn about the newest existing solutions from several top Shenzhen engineering companies to tackle energy and environmental problems.
Apart from attending the regular career talks and workshops organized by SEE, I was also nominated to ATAL Building Service Engineering Ltd as summer intern. This is a fabulous opportunity for me to acquire new knowledge. I understand how big the world out there is! I recalled I was once too shy to raise questions at work, but it turned out that another trouble was created for my colleague. I am now trained to be curious and proactive. It is never embarrassing to show your obscurity. All in all, efficiency with accuracy is what demanded in engineering field and thank to this work experience, I am now better trained!
