“The distance between your dreams and reality is called action.” Have you ever thought of spending a year learning and working in one of the world most reputable organisations? In SEE, you can make it with the great support and flexibility provided to the students. This statement sounds like an unrealistic advertisement on the television, but that’s real. This is my experience, my story.
Working in the Hong Kong Observatory has been my dream since childhood. I was very much into the activities of typhoons and atmospheric science. This also has paved the way for my study in energy and environment. After rigorous selection, I got the offer as a researcher intern in the Hong Kong Observatory for a year in 2019. During this gap year, I largely integrated my knowledge acquired from SEE and my enduring passion in meteorology into a project ranging from sensor network to numerical weather predictions, which well-equip me in this profession. I know it is now one step forward to my life career.
Believe in yourself. If you have a dream, preserve it and make it happen.
