Twenty-Six SEE Faculty Members ranked Top 2% of the World’s Most Highly Cited Scientists
According to metrics compiled by Stanford University and the updated data published on 4 October 2023, twenty-six faculty members of the School of Energy and Environment (SEE) are listed among the top 2% of the world’s most highly cited scientists (i.e., top 2% in the world in their own areas of specialty), that equates to nearly 60% of the School’s entire faculty body. This exciting news reflects our faculty’s high academic standards and excellent research performance. This year’s 26 top 2% scientists from SEE are, in alphabetical order, Prof. Fatwa F. ABDI, Prof. Alicia AN, Prof. Chak CHAN, Prof. Johnny CHAN, Prof. Guohua CHEN, Prof. Shauhrat S. CHOPRA, Prof. Liang DONG, Prof. Alex JEN, Prof. Alvin LAI, Prof. Kenneth LEUNG, Prof. Michael LEUNG, Prof. Carol LIN, Prof. Chunhua LIU, Prof. Yun Hau NG, Prof. Jin SHANG, Prof. Edwin TSO, Prof. Jian WANG, Prof. Wen-Xiong WANG, Prof. Xue WANG, Prof. Wei WU, Prof. Charles Chunbao XU, Prof. Denis YU, Prof. Zhiguo YUAN AM, Prof. Angus YIP, Prof. Lin ZHANG and Prof. Wen ZHOU. The metrics prepared by a team of experts from Stanford University identify the top-cited scientists who have demonstrated significant and broad influence, reflected in the publication of multiple papers frequently cited by their peers. This publicly available database created by the team provides continually updated information on the work of the world’s top scientists including standardized information on citations, h-index, co-authorship-adjusted hm-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions and a composite indicator.
