Twenty SEE Faculty Members ranked top 2% of the World’s Most Highly Cited Scientists
According to metrics compiled by Stanford University and the updated data published on 16 September 2024, twenty faculty members of the School of Energy and Environment (SEE) are listed among the top 2% of the world’s most highly cited scientists (i.e., top 2% in the world in their own areas of specialty), that equates to nearly 60% of the School’s entire faculty body. This exciting news reflects our faculty’s high academic standards and excellent research performance. This year’s 20 top 2% scientists from SEE are, in alphabetical order, Prof. Fatwa F. ABDI, Prof. Johnny CHAN, Prof. Guohua CHEN, Prof. Liang DONG, Prof. Alex K Y JEN, Prof. Jason C. H. LAM, Prof. Kenneth M. Y. LEUNG, Prof. Michael K. H. LEUNG, Prof. Carol LIN, Prof. Chunhua LIU, Prof. Jin SHANG, Prof. Edwin C. Y. TSO, Prof. Jian WANG, Prof. Xue WANG, Prof. Wei WU, Prof. Wen-Xiong WANG, Prof. Charles Chunbao XU, Prof. Angus Hin-Lap YIP, Prof. Zhiguo YUAN AM and Prof. Lin ZHANG. We are proud that twelve of them are also on the career-long top 2% of the world’s most highly cited scientists list.
The metrics prepared by a team of experts from Stanford University identify the top-cited scientists who have demonstrated significant and broad influence, reflected in the publication of multiple papers frequently cited by their peers. This publicly available database created by the team provides continually updated information on the work of the world’s top scientists including standardized information on citations, h-index, co-authorship-adjusted hm-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions and a composite indicator.
