Prof. WU Wei’s student SUI Zengguang won the First Prize in the “China HVACR Innovation Award”

Under the supervision of Prof. WU Wei, PhD students from the School of Energy and Environment, SUI Zengguang and his team (LI Fuxiang, LIN Haosheng, and ZENG Weitao), won the First Prize in the 7th China HVACR Innovation Award held on 8 and 9 Aug 2024.

The China HVACR Innovation Award is jointly sponsored by the Chinese Association of Refrigeration, Teaching Guidance Committee for Energy and Power Majors in Higher Education Institutions of the Ministry of Education, and Teaching Guidance Subcommittee of Building Environment and Energy Application Engineering in Higher Education Institutions of the Ministry of Education. It was initiated by the Chinese Association of Refrigeration and held every two years. It has been successfully held for six sessions. At present, the China HVACR Innovation Award has become one of the largest and oldest national competitions in the field of refrigeration and air conditioning in China. It has had a positive and far-reaching impact on promoting the development of China's refrigeration and air-conditioning industry and has cultivated a large number of outstanding innovative talents for China's refrigeration and air-conditioning industry.

This year’s China HVACR Innovation Award has set up five competition areas: Eastern, Southern, Western, Northern, and Central. After preliminary and re-evaluation by experts, 14 teams from City University of Hong Kong, Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Xi'an Jiaotong University and other universities were selected to enter the finals of the graduate group. After intense competition, Prof. WU Wei’s PhD students (SUI Zengguang, LI Fuxiang, LIN Haosheng, and ZENG Weitao) finally won the First Prize.
