Exemplary SEE Undergraduate Students Honored at HK Electric Scholarships Presentation Ceremony

On 12 July 2024, six undergraduate students from the School of Energy and Environment (SEE) were recognized as recipients of the HK Electric Scholarships for Exemplary SEE Attributes 2023/24. The prestigious scholarship presentation ceremony was held at the HK Electric Centre in Mid-Levels.

The event was attended by the following SEE students: ALI Hassan, CHAN Ho Chun, CHOW Hoi Yan, HU Jiuniu, LAN Qingyang and WANG Yan Yan.

The ceremony was hosted by Mr. CHENG Cho Ying, Francis, the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of HK Electric. Senior management from HK Electric, the scholarship recipients, and representatives from eight local universities and secondary schools were in attendance.

Representing SEE were Professor Patrick Sit, Associate Dean of Undergraduate Studies, and Mr. Andrew To, Associate Director of the Development Office. Their presence highlighted the school’s pride in the achievements of these outstanding students.

This annual scholarship program recognizes students who demonstrate the seven key attributes valued by the SEE - leadership, innovation, communication, teamwork, adaptability, integrity, and passion. The recipients were selected based on their academic excellence, extracurricular involvement, and embodiment of these exemplary SEE qualities.
