Charting a Sustainable Future: Cr Terence Mang's Zero Emissions Vision at SEE Colloquium
At the recent SEE Colloquium held on 20 November 2024, the esteemed Cr Terence MANG, the Chairperson of the Youth Affairs Committee at the Construction Industry Council, captivated attendees with an inspiring presentation on “Reflections on Zero Carbon Park: Lesson Learned in the Pursuit of Zero Emissions”.
Drawing from a wealth of experience accumulated over a decade of unwavering commitment to the cause of zero emissions, he shared his invaluable experiences and insights. His talk underscored pivotal learnings gleaned from his journey and discussed viable strategies essential for realizing a zero-emission future.
Cr Terence MANG, a Registered Professional Engineer, is the Founder of the M-Joy Engineering Limited and the President of the Hong Kong Institute of Construction Managers. He has been appointed as the Chairperson of Youth Affairs Committee of the Construction Industry Council and Board member of CIC-Zero Carbon Park. Zero Carbon Park, a groundbreaking initiative embodying the principles of zero carbon emissions, not only serves as an exhibition venue but also as an educational beacon, promoting low-carbon designs both locally and internationally.
Cr Mang went from an apprentice to establish his own construction company. Beyond his leadership prowess, he is a passionate advocate, generously sharing his wealth of experience and knowledge with the next generation in the construction industry. Through active engagement with youth, industry initiatives, and volunteer endeavors, Cr Mang remains steadfast in his commitment to advancing youth affairs and fostering a culture of sustainability within the construction landscape.
