Application for Departmental-Level Student Exchange Programmes

 

Eligibility

Minimum Requirements for Application for Student Exchange Programme (SEP):

 Study Programme

Full-time student of BSc in Computing Mathematics (BSCM)

 Year of Study

Completed at least one year of study with a major declared before applying

 Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA)

  • A good academic record (US students should have a GPA of 3.0 or over on a 4.0 scale)

  • A good academic reference from BSCM Student Exchange Coordinator

 English Language Proficiency

At the University of Edinburgh the minimum English language test scores they accept are as follows:

  • IELTS (Academic module) overall 6.5 with 5.5 in each component

  • TOEFL iBT 92 or above with 20 in each section

* IELTS and TOEFL results are valid for two years only from the date of the test.

Application

  1. Consult Major Leader about the suitability of the proposed exchange study and procedures relating to your application. The discussion should include your tentative course plan and credit transfer arrangements.

  2. Submit your Outbound Student Exchange Application via AIMS (under "Student Services") together with a proof of English result by the deadline.

  3. Nominations will normally be considered based on your CGPA and English proficiency.

  4. Though selection would normally be based on students' CGPA and English proficiency, the partner institution reserves the final decision on the admissions of exchange students.
