Program Objective:
Brief overview:
This four-week language and culture immersion program, offered by the Chan Feng Men-ling Chan Shuk-lin Language Centre, takes place in Cuenca, a historic city in the heart of Spain. It is designed for students who have demonstrated a solid commitment to learning Spanish. Daily language classes run from 9:15 am to 2 pm, Monday through Friday, and are complemented by approximately 12 to 15 hours per week of cultural and leisure activities that enrich participants' understanding of Spanish culture.

Estimated Student Contribution:
The University's Global Experience for All Funding Scheme subsidizes up to 60% of the direct costs for participants in this LC Summer Program. These costs include the course fee, airfare, accommodation, and local transportation between the airport and student residence on both the arrival and departure days. Students participating in the program are responsible for the remaining expenses.
The estimated contribution required from each student is approximately HKD16,240. However, selected students should refer to the latest announcements from the LC to confirm the exact amount, as this could vary due to fluctuations in flight fees, exchange rates, and other related cost factors.
Program Specific Requirements:
Any student who is currently learning (or who has learnt) Spanish at CityUHK is eligible to apply for this summer program. Preferences will be given to students in their senior years of study who demonstrated great interest in their studies with a proven track record of consistently good academic performance, as well as an interest in Spanish language and culture. Priority will be given to students who have completed advanced level Spanish courses at CityUHK.
