LC Scholarship
About the LC Scholarship
The aims of the scholarship are:
- to provide opportunities for competent and dedicated students to engage in English learning activities overseas;
- to reward students for improving their English standard through the use of LC resources;
- to encourage students to take an active role in the language learning process;
- to recognise the effort students put in to take charge of their own learning.
Each scholarship recipient will receive a scholarship fund of HKD$40,000 in support of their pursuit of an overseas summer English language learning and cultural immersion programme identified by the LC.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a full-time local Years 1 – 4 student undertaking UGC-funded degree programmes at the City University of Hong Kong (except Advance Standing I & II);
- Must demonstrate academic excellence and a strong academic record with a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or above; and
- Must exhibit an outstanding commitment to English language learning.

Collection and use of Personal Information
The personal data of scholarship applicants will be collected, retained, processed, used disclosed and/or transferred (within or outside of Hong Kong) as the LC considers appropriate for the purposes of evaluating scholarship applications, administering the scholarship, liaising with other Offices of the university for fund disbursement, and communicating with applicants and scholarship recipients.
