
On 21 February 2025, a delegation from the Tin Ka Ping Foundation (the Foundation) visited City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) and met with President Professor Freddy Boey. The delegation was led by the Foundation’s Chairman, Mr Tin Wing-sin, and included Dr Roy Chung, Advisory Board member; Dr Yuen Pong-yiu, Executive Chairman of the Board; Mr Tin Hing-sin, Director of the Board; and Mr Bryan Tin, Group Chief Executive Officer.

Mr Anthony Lee, a devoted alumnus, and his wife, Ms Suk-man Tse, established the Suk Man Tse and Anthony Chun Tat Lee Scholarships in the 2024/25 academic year to recognise students with outstanding academic performance. Four students from diverse disciplines have been benefited from the scholarships, enabling them to focus on their studies and participate in various programmes.

City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) proudly celebrated its 30th anniversary on 24 November with a grand banquet attended by stakeholders, friends, staff, students and alumni. This milestone event also marked the 10th anniversary of the CityUHK Foundation. Over 350 esteemed guests gathered to share in the joy of the University's remarkable journey and to learn about its latest achievements.

The China Hongqiao Group (“Hongqiao”) Limited has pledged HK$70 million to support CityUHK's research initiatives and establish an endowed fund for community engagement projects through the “CityUHK Endowment Campaign”. This generous contribution marks Hongqiao as a first-time donor of CityUHK and underscores their commitment to advancing world-class research and the well-being of the local community.
