Scholarship Founder, alumnus Mr Anthony Lee, engages in inspiring dialogue with award recipients

Mr Anthony Lee, a devoted alumnus, and his wife, Ms Suk-man Tse, established the Suk Man Tse and Anthony Chun Tat Lee Scholarships in the 2024/25 academic year to recognise students with outstanding academic performance. Four students from diverse disciplines have been benefited from the scholarships, enabling them to focus on their studies and participate in various programmes.
On 13 February 2025, Anthony and Suk-man visited CityUHK to connect with the scholarship recipients. Mr Wilfred Leung, Director (Development Office), was also present at the event and expressed his heartfelt gratitude for Anthony’s unwavering commitment to supporting the University and his genuine dedication to nurturing student success.
During the gathering, Anthony and Suk-man engaged in meaningful discussions with the scholarship recipients, exploring ways to further enhance support for CityUHK students in the future. They also shared their invaluable life philosophies, offering insights that deeply inspired the students. In return, the recipients expressed their sincere appreciation, recounting how the scholarships had profoundly impacted their academic and personal journeys. One recipient, Rain Chan, shared that the scholarship has served as a source of motivation, driving him to excel academically and inspiring him to apply for a PhD programme. The exchange was both enriching and memorable, leaving a lasting impression on all the participants.
Following the meeting, Anthony and Suk-man embarked on a campus tour, visiting academic buildings, the Student Residence, and the Indra and Harry Banga Gallery. They were briefed on the University’s latest developments and future plans, gaining a deeper understanding of its growth and vision. Inspired by their visit, they are now considering an additional donation to further expand their support to even more students.
