The College of Science’s (CSCI) JUPAS Consultation Day was successfully held on May 18, with more than 400 participants attending.

To obtain the latest updates on the undergraduate programmes offered by CSCI, many HKDSE takers who are interested in science visited CSCI and our Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics departments’ booths. We are pleased to note that most of them also joined our programme admission talks and the consultation sessions on the day. Some even came with their parents.

In the admission talks, Programme Leaders and Admission Tutors introduced their respective JUPAS programmes and answered enquiries about the admission scores, interview tips, JUPAS banding strategies, and career prospects. Current students and graduate also shared their study life at CityUHK. Some participants stayed behind and chatted with the Programme Leaders/Admission Tutors to gather more admission information about their interested science programmes.

This year, our Department of Chemistry offered a new guided lab tour named “Journey of Exploring University Chemical Instrumentation” to the visitors. In the 45-minute tour, the faculty member briefly introduced the usage of different research-related equipment, giving the participants a preliminary idea about research in the university.
