College of Science Co-organised the Exciting Glider Launch Challenge for Aerosim Inter-school Aviation Tournament (AIAT) 2024

The Aerosim Inter-school Aviation Tournament (AIAT) 2024 - Glider Launch Challenge, held on 20 April 2024 at the City University of Hong Kong, was a resounding success. This highly-anticipated event gathered nearly 170 secondary school students and teachers from 25 schools across Hong Kong, showcasing their innovation and STEM understanding by putting their designed gliders on the “City University Runway” to the ultimate test.

Co-organised by Aerosim (HK) Limited in collaboration with strategic partners, AIAT2024 offered a unique platform for students to put their innovative spirit and hard work to the test. The centrepiece of the event, the Glider Launch Challenge, tasked students with crafting gliders that considered the desired trade-off between lift, glide efficiency, and manoeuvrability.
