Programme Aims and Objectives

There is an increasing number of legal tasks in which a detailed knowledge of mathematics is a significant asset to lawyers. This five-year law-math double degree programme fills an important market need in the legal profession. The training provided by this double degree programme will bring additional mathematical knowledge to law students and equip them with critical skills in areas such as probability and statistics, quantitative analysis and formal logic that are becoming increasingly important in the legal world. The mathematical and computational skills that the graduates acquire in this double degree will give them an advantage in several legal fields.

Scholarships

Madam Wong Wai Leung Scholarship for Bachelor of Laws & Bachelor of Science in Computing Mathematics

Distinguished CityUHK alumnus Hectar Pun Hei, SC has kindly established the Madam Wong Wai Leung Scholarship for Bachelor of Laws & Bachelor of Science in Computing Mathematics to reward outstanding students of the undergraduate double degree programme. One award of HK$10,000 in each academic year shall be awarded to a full-time UGC funded local student of the Bachelor of Laws & Bachelor of Science in Computing Mathematics programme who has attained the highest CGPA in his or her first year of study. In the event that more than one student attain the same highest CGPA, a selection interview will be conducted.
