RGC Senior Research Fellow (2024-25)

It is a good news that the following faculty member has been awarded under the Senior Research Fellow Scheme (SRFS) this year:

Professor JIA Xiao Hua (CS)
Project title: Robust Aggregation, Proof-of-data and Proof-of-training in Federated Learning

The RGC Senior Research Fellow Scheme (SRFS) and RGC Research Fellow Scheme (RFS) aim to provide sustained support and relief from teaching and administrative duties to exceptionally outstanding researchers at full Professor rank and Associate Professor rank, respectively, at UGC-funded universities in Hong Kong, with a view to facilitating their full dedication to research and development and helping universities attract and retain research talent.

This year, RGC has approved 10 awards for each scheme. SRFS and RFS awardees will each receive a fellowship grant of about $7.9 million and $5.2 million, respectively, for a period of 60 months.
