On January 9, 2025, the College of Computing (CC) successfully hosted an Online Information Session for its Master’s Programmes. Professors from the Department of Computer Science, Department of Data Science, and Department of Biostatistics provided comprehensive insights into four Master’s Programmes:

  • MSc Computer Science
  • MSc Electronic Commerce
  • MSc Data Science
  • MSc Biostatistics

The session provided detailed information on course structures, application procedures, admission requirements, scholarship opportunities, selection criteria, student life, and career prospects. Excitingly, from 2025/26 intake, students admitted to the MSc Computer Science, MSc Electronic Commerce, and MSc Data Science programmes may opt to engage in full-time internship by extending to the second year of study. This initiative aims to provide students with valuable hands-on work experience and further enhance their professional skills. We were also pleased to have a MSc Data Science student join the session to share his personal experiences of studying and living in Hong Kong, offering valuable perspectives to prospective students.

The event received an enthusiastic response, attracting nearly 6,000 viewers and generating over 8,000 views in total. During the Q&A session, professors actively answered students’ questions, covering topics ranging from academic learning to life in Hong Kong. The audience demonstrated a strong interest in the Master’s Programmes offered by the College of Computing.
