18 DEC 2024 CityUHK Data Science PhD student shines at NeurIPS 2024 AIGB Bidding Competition The Department of Data Science (DS) at City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) is proud to announce the exceptional achievement of its student in the prestigious competition NeurIPS 2024 AIGB Track: Learning Auto-Bidding Agents with Generative Models, which took place on 14 December 2024. A collaborative team, KGAB, consisting of members from CityUHK’s AML Lab and Kuaishou, secured 1st place overall out of 1,500+ teams.

25 NOV 2024 Data Science PhD Student Wins Excellent Paper Award at International Conference ICFOD PhD student Miss Xihang LI from the Department of Data Science, supervised by Professor Xiao QIAO, has been honored with the Excellent Paper Award at the 13th International Conference on Futures and Other Derivatives (ICFOD). The award-winning paper, titled “Relative Merits of Commodity Pricing Theories” was co-authored with Dr. John Hua FAN from Griffith University, Australia and Dr. Tingxi ZHANG from Curtin University, Australia. The conference took place at Shandong University, China, on November 23-24, 2024.

15 OCT 2024 Data Science Contestants Awarded 6th Place in MIT ARCLab Prize for AI Innovation in Space 2024 Congratulations to Mr. Yongchao YE (PhD Student) and Dr. Xinting ZHU (Postdoctoral Fellow) from the Department of Data Science! Their team “Go4Aero” ranked 6th (out of 126 teams globally) in the MIT ARCLab Prize for AI Innovation in Space 2024, and is awarded with a cash prize of 1,000 USD and certificates of excellence.
