College of Computing Shines at Inaugural STEM Career Fair 2025

On 17 January 2025, the College of Computing proudly co-hosted the largest career fair event at City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK)—the inaugural STEM Career Fair 2025—alongside three other esteemed Colleges/School. This landmark event provided an unparalleled platform connecting our students with leading employers across computing, energy and environment, engineering, science, and technology.

The fair welcomed 71 distinguished companies from 16 diverse industries, presenting over 3,300 job opportunities to our talented students. Industry leaders showcased a keen interest in recruiting from our College, underscoring the quality and preparedness of our graduates.

We were honored to have Mr. Dale Johnstone from the Hong Kong Chapter of American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) International to deliver a pivotal session titled "Cyber-Physical Security Convergence: Security on Threats beyond Boundary". His expertise on the development of physical and cybersecurity provided invaluable insights to attendees.

Another highlight of the event was the networking lunch, which gathered over 120 industry partners, faculty members, and distinguished guests. This luncheon not only fostered meaningful connections and dialogues but also provided an opportunity to strengthen existing relationships while cultivating new ones.

The College of Computing is enthusiastic about the overwhelmingly positive reception of the STEM Career Fair 2025. We look forward to organizing more impactful events in the future to foster collaboration and innovation within the dynamic field of STEM.
