College of Computing's Flagship Programme, Data Empowerment: Learn, Transform and Achieve (DELTA) Shines Bright in March 2025 Issue of TED's Newsletter

The College of Computing (CC) is thrilled to announce that our Flagship Programme, Data Empowerment: Learn, Transform and Achieve (DELTA), has been featured in the March 2025 issue of TED's Newsletter, titled "The Joy of Data: Perspectives from Students and Faculty".

The article highlights the valuable insights and transformative experiences that DELTA offers its students. The interview features perspectives from Professor Lishuai Li, Programme Director of DELTA at CityUHK, who discusses the future of the field. Additionally, current students from the College of Computing share the importance of data analytics and its impact on everyday life.

 

 

“Data is the New Oil”

When asked about the future of the field, Professor Lishuai Li, Programme Director of Data Empowerment: Learn, Transform, and Achieve (DELTA) at CityUHK, shared, “The trend of data science is set to accelerate.” She noted, “The excitement we see today is mostly in the cyber world, exemplified by ChatGPT. The next phase will bring this excitement into our everyday lives; there might be intelligent systems or AI agents who can execute various tasks in the physical world, bringing value to industry and society!”
