A brief Virtual Lab Tour (for secondary school students)
Mission
To provide the state-of-the-art facilities, the best IT infrastructure, the best technical support and the safest and green working environment for degree level teaching, research, training and industrial consultancy work.
Roles
- To cater for deliver our Engineering Students’ experiments and laboratory exercises,
- To provide facilities and technical support for our Engineering Students to undergo final year projects,
- To provide a simulated factory environment for our Engineering Students to undergo practical engineering trainings,
- To provide facilities and technical support for research and development work,
- To facilitate consultancy services to local industries,
- To support the Departmental and University wide publicity work,
- etc.
Introduction
Many of the Biomedical Engineering (BME) Laboratories are split and evolved from its previous (parent) Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering (MBE) Department. The majority of BME facilities are located at Level One of the Yeung Kin Man Academic Building. Three Biomedical teaching labs are located at Level Four of Yeung King Man Academic Building and one at 7/F purple zone of Yeung Kin Man Academic Building. The total floor spaces for teaching and research laboratories are about 1300 sq meters for BME Department. They are briefly described below:-
