The CityUHK Chatbot is powered by Microsoft Azure OpenAI service and DeepSeek Open-Source model, designed for educational and general purposes without embedding supplementary information from City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK). Interaction with the CityUHK Chatbot is private and will not be shared with the vendors.

Guidelines on the use of generative AI (GenAI) tools in teaching and learning can be found online for staff and students.

The chatbot's responses might not always be precise, comprehensive, or current. It is recommended that users utilize their judgment and validate the information when engaging with the chatbot service. CityUHK and its associates will not be accountable for any inaccuracies, errors, or omissions in the information given or for any actions taken based on the information obtained from the chatbot service.

The chatbot may not respond due to technical issues with the service supplier. If you see a time-out message or error, please resend your prompt.

As one of the IT services provided by the university, the same policies and guidelines apply in addition to the practices of Microsoft in data, privacy, and security for Azure OpenAI Service and DeepSeek Terms of Use.

The CityUHK Chatbot and other GenAI tools should be used responsibly and ethically. Students may generate information as a starting point for learning and must not use GenAI tools to engage in any form of plagiarism or academic dishonesty. Commitment to upholding the University’s Rule of Academic Honesty is essential for studying at CityUHK.
