Inspiring cultural and environmental awareness through engaging exhibitions at CityUHK
City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) welcomed around 60 students from Sichuan and local schools on 2 and 9 August, introducing them the University, its programmes and facilities. In his welcoming remarks, Professor Chan Chi Hou, Vice President (Community Engagement), highlighted the importance of education and innovation in addressing global challenges.
The students engaged in learning about marine conservation through the exhibition “Story of the Ocean Giants: Cetaceans and Sea Turtles”, organized by the Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences, and visited the CLP Power Low Carbon Energy Education Centre to understand the significance of sustainable energy. They also joined a guided tour for the exhibition “A Passion for Silk: The Road from China to Europe” in the Indra and Harry Banga Gallery, which demonstrated how CityUHK merged art and technology for cultural preservation.
