
Full House at Movie Screening: Promoting Diversity and Inclusivity
On 2 April 2025, CityUHK in collaboration with the Hong Kong Network for the Promotion of Inclusive Society (HKNPIS), hosted two sessions of movie appreciation event featuring Fearless, a microfilm funded by the Equal Opportunities Commission’s Community Participation Funding Programme on Equal Opportunities and directed by the acclaimed Mr Au Cheuk Man. The event attracted a diverse crowd of over 150 participants.

Engaging campus visit for two secondary schools in February
In February 2025, 55 students from the Aberdeen Baptist Lui Ming Choi College and HKTA Tang Hin Memorial Secondary School visited CityUHK to learn about the University’s dynamic learning environment and cutting-edge innovations.
Strengthening relationships with CityUHK Connect Schools through collaborative lunch gathering and visit to new student hostel
On 27 February 2025, CityUHK welcomed principals, vice-principals, and teachers from CityUHK Connect Schools for a guided tour and lunch gathering at the Lee Shau Kee Student Residence Village. The event aimed to strengthen the relationship between CityUHK and local secondary schools, fostering opportunities for youth engagement.

Collaborative efforts to promote social inclusion
Professor Steve Wong, Associate Vice-President (Community Engagement), attended the 14th Anniversary Dinner of the Hong Kong Network for the Promotion of Inclusive Society (HKNPIS), CityUHK’s close partner in promoting social inclusion, on 16 January 2025. HKNPIS is committed to promoting an inclusive and altruistic culture in society through encouraging people with disabilities to take part in activities of sports rehabilitation, education and empowerment, arts and culture as well as universal design and technology.

Fostering communication and collaboration with Sha Tin District community
City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) hosted two visits to the Lee Shau Kee Student Residence Village (Student Residence Village) for the delegation of the Sha Tin District Office and the delegation of chairpersons and members of the owners’ committees of the residential properties in the neighbourhood in October 2024 and January 2025 respectively to promote communication and encourage cooperation with the community members in the Sha Tin District where the Student Residence Village was located.

CityUHK hosts a student carnival to unite the University community
City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) held its 30th Anniversary Student Carnival on 17 January at University Circle and Wong’s International Terrace to commemorate the 30th anniversary since achieving university status, and further strengthen the bonds between faculty and students, allowing them to enjoy a pleasant evening together.
