Eight students from CityUHK Connect schools and surrounding community nominated to overseas MUN
Scholarship recipients who took part in the Global Conference Leadership Camp and the SCMUN Conference 2024 held on CityUHK campus between 5 and 11 August received awards and prizes in recognition of their outstanding performance. Among them, eight were nominated to overseas MUN in Oxford and Harvard.
CityUHK invited schools from the CityUHK Connect and the neighbourhood to nominate students for a scholarship supporting them to join the 5-day Global Conference Leadership Camp and the 2-day SCMUN Conference 2024. Through assessment by the organiser See Change Education and co-organiser CityUHK, a total of 11 secondary students received scholarships sponsored by the HKIEA, K Cash and Ince & Co.
“I congratulate the schools and the students for their outstanding performance. I believe they have had a wonderful experience and find the camp and conference rewarding and eye-opening,” said Professor Chan Chi-hou, Vice-President (Community Engagement). “We would continue to foster our connection and collaboration with schools, opening more opportunities to our young people.”
