City/Chinese Cultural Heritage
As part of the “City/Chinese Cultural Heritage” project, the Chinese Civilisation Centre will
invite local masters to offer small-group traditional art workshops to CityU students. They will
obtain an overall understanding of the historical aspects and development of Chinese art forms
during the lessons. Through participation and engagement, students will also enhance their
interest in learning Chinese culture. For this semester, the following workshops were offered:
1 Chinese GO;
2 The Tao of Traditional Incense; and
3 Seal Carving.

「中國藝術工作坊」是中國文化中心所規劃及推行的「城市•文化傳承」計劃項目之一。
中心於每個學期均會為本校學生提供小班教學,並邀請本地的文化教育工作者擔任導師,
講解傳統藝術的起源、繼承和發展,讓參與同學對課題有全面的認識。同學亦可透過親身
體驗藝術製作的過程,提升對學習中國文化的興趣。本學期舉辦了以下主題工作坊:

Cultural and Historical Exploration
Opportunities for CityU Student Residents
In Semester A of 2021/22, Student Residence Office launched a series
of tours, “Get to Know Hong Kong Better” for local and non-local student
residents. Participants would get to know each other as well as exploring
another side of Hong Kong. In early September, two groups with around
60 students visited Ap Chau, Kat O, Yan Chau Tong, and Tung Ping Chau
Geopark to learn the history of the fishing village and the conservation of
nature. For the upcoming activities, hiking in Tung Lung Chau and Sai Kung
is suitable for residents who want to explore amazing nature scenery in Residents visited Tin
Hau Temple at Kat O.

今年九月至十一月,學生宿舍處舉辦了一系列「認識香港」之旅,
帶領本地和非本地宿生一起探索香港的另一面。在九月上旬,約六十
名宿生已分別前往鴨洲、吉澳、印洲塘和東平洲地質公園等地認識
歷史悠久的漁村和各式各樣的地質面貌。踏入秋季,喜歡享受大自
