Introduction

CareER Jockey Club Thriving Grass Career Development Program (the Program) is a pioneering career development program in Hong Kong, designed to provide self-development opportunities to improve employability and raise workplace confidence.

 

This two-year program is tailored for higher educated persons with disabilities and Special Educational Needs (SEN). During the program, participants will be given training opportunities to build self-confidence, improve personal competence, as well as develop leadership and communication skills. The program aims to prepare participants for leadership roles in the workplace across industries – from NGOs to social enterprises, from public sectors to private sectors – and in the community.

Eligibility

We encourage you to join the Program if you are:

  • university students and graduates with disabilities and SEN who are committed to striving for self-improvement and career development;
  • inclusive employers who are committed to promoting workplace inclusion for people with disabilities and SEN and looking for talent;
  • HR and talent acquisition professionals who are looking for volunteering opportunities to empower people with disabilities and SEN

Details

This two-year program is designed to:

  • build a support network for higher educated persons with disabilities and SEN;
  • motivate participants to progress in career with the self-development opportunities provided;
  • enhance participants’ competence and equip them with confidence as well as leadership and social skills for both career development and life planning;
  • encourage participants to take the initiative and become active members of society;
  • build disability confidence and raise awareness around inclusive employment in civil society
