Giselle Chow Tsz Wing, a year-4 student from the Department of Chemistry, has been awarded the Champion of “Camera! Film a Science Video Competition”.
In the video titled “The Science of Bath Bombs”, Giselle investigates the fizzing effect of bath bombs, which can easily be bought from the market. She demonstrates the procedures of making bath bombs and examines how the fizzing effect can be more effective, such as changing the ratio of the active ingredients and adjusting the conditions of the environment based on the kinetic theory, etc. The video is a good example of the integration of creativity and scientific knowledge and has been uploaded to the College’s platforms for viewing.
