P07: Introduction to Light-induced Forces
Light-induced force is everywhere although you cannot feel it. It can be applied to manipulate molecules in the microscopic world and drive spacecraft to travel in the universe. This talk will introduce interesting phenomena and applications of light-induced forces, from optical tweezers, which were awarded The Nobel Prize in Physics 2018, to tractor beams which used to exist only in science fictions like Star Trek.
