作品構圖的靈感源自太陽從海面升起的意象。畫中有如年輪的線條與墨色構成了世界。年輪是樹木的記憶，銘刻着環境的變遷。在日出的光亮中，蟲蛹蛻變成蝴蝶，寓意生命的誕生。猶如宇宙中的超新星，在其生命終結時爆炸，發出超越整個星系的光芒，同時觸發新恆星的誕生。生命大概也是以同樣的方式，周而復始，生生不息。
The composition of the artwork is inspired by the scene of the sun rising over the ocean. Ink and lines form the growth rings depicting the world in the painting. Growth rings are the memories of trees, which imprint the environmental transition throughout the years. in the bright light of the sunrise, a caterpillar transforms into a butterfly, implying the birth of life. Just like a supernova in the universe, it explodes when its life ends. It illuminates the whole galaxy and triggers the birth of a new star. Life probably goes around in cycles like that --- it ends at the beginning and begins at the end.
