Submissions
Submission Requirements
The CityU LR accepts submissions throughout the year on a rolling basis. Manuscripts, double-spaced and accompanied by an abstract of about 200 words, should be sent as a Microsoft Word attachment to LawReview@cityu.edu.hk. The total length of manuscripts (including the footnotes) should not generally exceed 10,000 words. Articles should generally be between 6,000 and 10,000 words and notes/comments between 3,000 and 5,000 words. We may, however, accept longer submissions in appropriate cases.
Submission Review
All submissions will be reviewed by the Editorial Board anonymously. Articles and notes will also undergo a double-blind peer review process. To facilitate the anonymous review process, authors must mention their names, contact details and affiliations only on the cover page of the manuscript. Footnotes (rather than endnotes) should be used in accordance with the Oxford Standard for Citation of Legal Authorities 2012 (OSCOLA). Authors should also declare if they have submitted the paper for publication elsewhere.
Authors will normally be notified of the status of their papers in about 6 weeks from the date of submission.
However, requests for expedited review may be entertained.
