Service Leadership Training Programme (SLTP)

 

Since 2015, Service Leadership Training Programme (SLTP) has been developed with the objective of developing a positive attitude and a service-driven mind-set in students. Participants received training in the core principles of servant leadership according to Robert Greenleaf that puts ‘others-first’ on everyday practice.

 

SLTP provides a platform for them to develop planning, organizational and leadership skills in the service of others and to learn to work with teammates from various academic disciplines and collaborate with people from all walks of lives.

 

8 service teams for you to choose:  

 

  1. Wellness Transformer:  Service Leaders provide fitness and wellness activities for low-income children or disadvantaged groups.
  2. Food Friendster:  Service Leaders  make friends with the elders using food assistance service by paying home visits and co-creating a product for bazaar.
  3. Wise Walker:  Service Leaders conduct individual tutorial sessions and personal growth activities for children/adolescents of disabled parents.  
  4. Imagineer:  Service Leaders provide image-building services for NGOs by using social media platforms and marketing campaigns.  
  5. Animal Buddies:  Service Leaders serve abandoned animals and promote animal rights by conducting shelter visits, children service and exhibitions.
  6. Forgotten Side of the City:  Service Leaders explore various social topics and organises related services to understand different sides of the society.
  7. Cultural Walker: Service Leaders organise local cultural tours for non-local students to experience the local culture as well as enhance social integration.
  8. Friendly Neighbour: Service Leaders connect with the CityU neighbourhood community by reaching out to local neighbours through different services.
