Dr Lin obtained his bachelor degree in Biology from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2001. He received his MPhil and PhD degrees from City University of Hong Kong (CityU) in 2007 and 2013, respectively. His research areas included toxicology and developmental biology. He also developed a rapid and high-capacity species identification method for food.
He has worked in a local biotechnology company operating a food safety unit from 2013 to 2015, and in 2016, he joined the School of Veterinary Medicine (now the College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences) as Scientific Officer.
With his teaching and management experience, he is responsible for the planning, development and maintenance of teaching and research facilities for the Department of Infectious Diseases and Public Health.
