The Department of Infectious Diseases and Public Health is building a strong team of internationally renowned researchers and scholars who are actively engaged in advancing knowledge in the areas of animal (both terrestrial and aquatic) health and welfare, emerging zoonotic diseases and food safety. We aim to enhance our research grant performance, promote high-impact research that meets societal needs and contributes to developing Hong Kong as a hub of research excellence in One Health. Our researchers also strongly encourage interdisciplinary and collaborative research and strengthen PhD education, helping to nurture a culture of innovation, translation and entrepreneurship.
