CityUHK holds flag-raising ceremony to celebrate the 27th anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR
Mr Lester Garson Huang, Council Chairman of City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK), together with President Professor Freddy Boey, presided over a flag-raising ceremony at Wong Cheung Lo Hui Yuet Hall on 1 July to celebrate the 27th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Hong Kong SAR.
The Ceremony was attended by around 200 members of the University community, including Mr Charles Chin Ying-on, Treasurer of the Council, several Council members, namely, Dr Eugene Chan Kin-keung, Mr David Ho Chi-hoo, Dr Raymond Leung Siu-hong, Mr Robert Lui Chi-wang, Mr Rex Wong Siu-han, Mr Justin Wong Tak-ho, Mr William Khoo Wun-fat, Mr Alan Poon Pak-lun, and Mr Li Guangda, and Court members, namely, Mr Wilson Chung Kwok-yi, Professor Albert Ip Yuk-keung, and Professor Cliff Sun Kai-lit, together with management, staff and student representatives. The national, regional and University flags were raised. CityUHK students trained as Guards of Honour carried out the ceremony.
