City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) is delighted to announce its recognition as the Most International University in the World, according to the recently published Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2024. This significant accolade further cements CityUHK’s position as a global frontrunner in higher education.

THE evaluated over 1,900 universities worldwide in this comprehensive assessment, and only 203 universities from 36 countries and territories made the list. CityUHK distinguished itself through its “significant proportion of international students and faculty”, its “proactive involvement in collaborative global research projects”, and its “strong global standing, as evidenced by its reputation”.

This ranking is a tribute to the diverse community of students and scholars from around the globe at CityUHK, who are actively engaged in addressing some of the most pressing global challenges through their learning and research at the University.

“CityUHK is celebrating its 30th anniversary of achieving university status this year, and this recognition confirms that we are on the right track,” said Professor Freddy Boey, President of CityUHK. “The University remains unwavering in its commitment to fostering an inspirational, interactive and innovative educational environment, innovating into the future,” he added.

CityUHK has always been an international university, drawing students from more than 80 countries or regions worldwide. The University proudly partners with over 400 exchange partners in more than 40 countries or regions globally, with approximately 65% of its undergraduates participating in these exchange programmes.
