Eminent CityU faculty receive RGC awards
Outstanding faculty members at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) were recognised by the Research Grants Council (RGC) at an Awards Presentation Ceremony on 24 November for their distinguished research achievements and significant contributions to higher education.
Awards were presented to 12 CityU winners on five RGC schemes including the inaugural RGC Senior Research Fellow Scheme, RGC Research Fellow Scheme and RGC Postdoctoral Fellowship Scheme; as well as the Humanities and Social Sciences Prestigious Fellowship Scheme and Early Career Scheme.
The recipients are either exceptionally outstanding researchers or promising young researchers in their early careers. Selected through a rigorous process overseen by RGC selection panels, these scholars reflect the University’s excellence in research.
The award-winning CityU faculty have been granted around HK$34 million funding for their research in a broad range of disciplines.
