CityU’s College of Business ranked 1st in Asia-Pacific region
The College of Business (CB) at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) has been ranked 27th in the world and top in the Asia-Pacific Region according to the newly released University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) Top 100 Business School Research Rankings 2019 dated 15 February. This ranking is based on CB’s contributions to the top academic journals in 2019. In a five-year period ranking of 2015-2019, the College was ranked 36th at present on the basis of its research outcomes in the UTD rankings.
This UTD ranking is one of the most internationally well known for business schools. The top ten universities in the latest rankings included the University of Pennsylvania, New York University, Harvard University, Columbia University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, among others.
Since 2009, Professor Way Kuo, CityU President, has positioned CityU as “an international university, excellent in research and globally recognised for professional education”. CB’s success complements comparable achievements in recent months by CityU’s College of Engineering and School of Law. In addition, CityU has just been ranked as the Most International University by Times Higher Education.
"CB has made great progress in recent years thanks to the enthusiastic support of our staff and students. We will continue to strive for excellence," said Professor Yan Houmin, Acting Dean of CB.
