Premier control engineering event held at CityU
The flagship event for systems and control in engineering is currently underway at City University of Hong Kong (CityU).
The 3rd IEEE Conference on Control Technology and Applications (CCTA 2019) from 19 to 21 August continues the long-time success of its predecessor, the IEEE Multi-Conference on Systems and Control.
“CityU is proud to host this leading event sponsored by the IEEE Control Systems Society,” said Professor Way Kuo, CityU President and Advisory Board Chair of CCTA 2019.
The conference brought together leading academic and industrial leaders and students worldwide, estimated more than 300 participants from over 30 countries and areas.
Other key CityU personnel involved in CCTA 2019 include Chair Professor Chen Jie of the Department of Electrical Engineering who serves as General Chair, and Chair Professor Daniel Ho Wing-cheong of the Department of Mathematics as Finance Chair. Several other CityU faculty members serve on the conference organising committee.
The CCTA 2019 technical programme includes contributed and invited papers, as well as tutorial sessions and workshops, focusing on technological advances and applications of control engineering.
Major themes of energy, manufacturing, transportation, and industrial automation will feature applications of control technology for robotic, automotive, biomechanical, aerospace, power and energy systems, control of networks, and many others.
An interactive poster session that enables students to showcase their research results and interact with conference participants is one of the “firsts” for CCTA 2019.
